On Monday 15th December, our volunteer team will come together again to help design our exhibition: Kitchen Resistance.

Since the start of 2025, the team have been conducting archive research and oral history interviews to discover how women have used food as a political tool since 1800. Over the summer 17 interviews were conducted with women who have organised food cooperatives, community dinners, cooked for those living with HIV & AIDS, worked as dinner ladies and more.

These stories, along with those found in the archives, will be used in a public education campaign in 2026, which will include an exhibition. If you would be interested in helping to design the exhibition, and can attend the meeting on 15th December, please get in touch to join the team.
